Presented by collectSPACE.com — The Source for Space History and Artifacts. When Dr. Don Pettit lived aboard the International Space Station in 2002, he became known for his “Saturday Morning Science” sessions, during which he would demonstrate really cool, simple microgravity experiments. Earlier this month, Pettit returned to space, this time as member of space shuttle Endeavour’s crew on a mission to upgrade the outpost. After 10 days of hard work, the STS-126 crew got some time off Sunday morning and Pettit took the opportunity to film a special episode of Saturday, err, Sunday Morning Science. In his video, which he later narrated for Mission Control, Dr. Pettit demonstrated his take on a zero-gravity coffee cup… For more, see collectspace.com

space erections are fact not science fiction.
well now i know people dont gain super powers from drinking coffee in space
Is it just me or does the liquid and the bag appear to be in two different locations at 2:26
@TheMrDuerni Ja, das stimmt mein freund. Leave it to the Germans to teach us Americans simple physiology…
No zero gravity boners ? Are you trying to fucking depress me ? FUCK
@heyimmowee You can’t even get an erection in space cuz of blood flow.
lol… that IS a bag!!!!
People like this astronaut that intentionally avoid using their pinkies scare me.
I jizzed in the space, it makes a fluffy and milky way
He’s probably going to get cancer drinking out of that plastic material.
You folks better watch out, they’re covered in astro-germs. Just last year, an astronaut moved into my neighborhood. Simultaneously, all the leaves started dying and falling off our oak trees.
they surely go insane up there
@charlatanfilms NO IT SUCKS
I wana see them pee into the toilet from across the room
@CalAlejandro its people like you that prohibit genius sir. its so good you are not deciding where money is spent for science. though this coffeemug has definatly nothing to do with genius but as you maybe know almost every great discovery has been made by accident.
lol goddamn austronautse drinking semen in space fuckers triyng to challnge god
@CalAlejandro
At the end of the video, he says he made the cup out of a piece of plastic from one of the FDF (sp?) books. This man is an innovator, he is a true hacker.
I don’t understand! Let me get this straight, the coffee before was sipped through a bag but now it’s drank out of a bag!? Congrats on wasting economy money!
@amorach That is steve jobs
he looks kinda like steve jobs
jelly like
Put water in the cup and run forward.
<= 2*90-contact wetting area
@AhmadAlony123 Actually, NASA was concerned about this in the early days of the space program. They wondered if an astronaut would suffocate if he tried to eat in space. John Glenn flew America’s first orbital flight in 1963, and 1 of his missions was to try eating during the flight. John was fine, and long-term space flight became a real possibility!
